Technical Communication Summit ’15

21-24 June 2015, Columbus, OH, USA

The 62nd annual conference of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The Summit consists of two important parts.

  • 80+ educational sessions, organized in tracks, which begin Monday morning, 22 June, and continue until midday on Wednesday, 24 June.
  • The Expo, with more than 50 companies represented; this will open on Sunday evening, 21 June, and run through 5:00 PM on Tuesday, 23 June.

International Terminology Summer School 2015

13 – 17 July 2015 Cologne, Germany

The International Terminology Summer School (TSS) is the leading and largest international summer school for terminology professionals with about 80 participants from some 40 countries and almost every continent.

TSS offers a one-week, practice-oriented training course covering a comprehensive overview of the methods and principles of terminology management. Participation qualifies to obtain the ECQA Certificate for Terminology Managers.

10th International PLAIN Conference

The Plain Language Association InterNational (PLAIN) is pleased to announce its 10th international conference will be held in Dublin, Ireland, September 17-20, 2015, with the theme “Clearer language, greater efficiency and effectiveness”.

TIA 2015: 11th International Conference on Terminology and Artificial Intelligence

4 – 6 November 2015, Granada, Spain

Today’s networked society has generated an increasing number of contexts where multilingualism challenges current knowledge representation methods and techniques. There is thus the urgent need for high-quality multilingual knowledge resources that are able to bridge communication barriers, and which can be linked and shared. TIA 2015 will provide a forum for interdisciplinary research that focuses on the intersection of different disciplines dealing with terminology, multilingualism, lexicology, ontology, and knowledge representation.
